Wilson Heritage Collections is in the process of becoming a 501(c)3 organization. Currently all 700 plus artifacts in the in the collection have been purchased with personal funds of Durwood B. Wilson. These artifacts were purchased from various stores, yard sales, flea markets, items passed on by his parents, and from family members and friends.

The projected site for Wilson Heritage Collections is located on the Westside of Montgomery, Alabama. The location is a commercial building next to Access Information Management, 2071 West Fairview Avenue. The owner of this building is very excited about its potential to becoming a historical site in Montgomery. Additionally, the building has adequate space and the utilities to make this project a reality.
